2019 has also been the year of daring to participate in hackatons and I am very satisfied with the contacts and results harvested.
Game JamOn in U-TAD
I participated in the Game JamOn A.I. Edition in U-TAD in the development of a video game in Unity 2D for 48 hours. After a brainstorm with my colleagues about the game design objectives and mechanics, I made the art part, as well as complementary logistics tasks. I was able to learn very actively from my programming partners about their methodologies and project management.

SPECIALIZATIONS
DESIGNER
It all started as a graphic designer between 1998-2003 in the UDLAP. My bachelor's degree specialty was in traditional Editorial Design and with InDesign. I did my thesis: Transition from Printed to Digital Media of Periodical Publications, as a hybrid between what would come from the typographical reticles to improve usability and interactivity, which we can now enjoy nowadays thanks to more flexible web tools. There I got soaked with all the concepts of UX, since one of my main bibliographical references was Nielsen Norman's studies. Years later I have continued putting these fundamentals into practice, transferring them to multiple media, prototyping and designing interfaces for all types of devices.
I have been able to apply the design in most of its branches: brand design, poster design, packaging, signage, editorial, illustration, web, interactive, etc.
ANIMATION, MOTIONGRAPHICS AND AUDIOVISUAL
Since I can remember, I've always wanted to dedicate myself to the image in movement, so after graduating and having been working in an advertising agency, I decided to make the leap to animation. I moved to Barcelona to study Computer Animation at the IDEC of Pompeu Fabra University. It was a great experience since the group was very professional and collaborative while we did practices with traditional animation techniques, production and editing of photography and video, and a final short film in 3D with Maya.
I've been part of audiovisual production and motion graphics team, developing an animated series with Sony professional cameras, Cinema 4D and After Effects for PEMEX (Mexico's national oil company). I also had a brand, Fidewow!, dedicated to culinary photography and video with which I delved into lighting and composition.
VIDEO GAMES AND VFX
I continued to work in SMEs and advertising agencies, but I still wanted to go deeper into tools that allowed me to go further. In 2011 I returned to Spain to study 3D for videogames (since the 3D process is different and seeks optimization) with 3Ds Max and digital sculpture and retopology with ZBrush and VFX with Nuke, Final Cut and Apple Motion in Trazos. On a personal level I have tried other tools such as Construct and Animate to develop interactive projects such as serious games or advergames.
I've applied motion graphics in multiple projects for clients, in corporate videos or for rrss. I continue to train in this topic because I enjoy it a lot.
WEB, SOCIAL MEDIA AND ADVERTISING RICH MEDIA
Along with previous studies, I've been self-taught in the use of web tools and concepts: responsive, mobile-first, atomic design, etc. I have experience in HTML5 with Dreamweaver, Sublime, Adobe Animate and Google. In parallel, I have carried out dozens of campaigns for social media and HTML5 banners -with or without rich media- using Google Web Designer or Adobe Animate. In addition to wireframe design and prototyping with Photoshop, Sketch, AdobeXD, InVision and microinteractions or transitions with Flinto.
STORYTELLING
I also have the Masterclass, membership, since one of my goals is to go deeper into transmedia production through narrative. Since I started this training, I have improved the fluency, structure and characters of my stories, but especially, to start with ideas that hook quickly and write an ending (which used to be complicated for me). You can read a couple of stories of my participation in the creative writing club Ciervo Blanco in Madrid: Tribute to David Bowie reinterpreting his Space Oddity y Memento Mori (sorry!, I haven't translated them yet).
UX FOR EXTENDED REALITY EXPERIENCES
Both in the VR Immersive course at UXER School and as a self-taught person, I have been trained in the fundamentals of the Unity video game engine and I am still exploring this versatile tool. I also explore the extended reality experiences (VR, AR and MR) through it. At the moment I can prototype, design, model, make GUIs and basic interactions (since my experience is as a designer, not a programmer), in Unity 2D, 3D and XR with the Oculus headsets, HTC Vive and Google Cardboard.
